VILLA CLAUDE

Built in 1912 and attributed to architect Fulbert Auréglia, Villa Claude is part of Monte-Carlo’s Belle Époque architectural heritage. Located at 5 Avenue Saint-Michel, the residence retains features characteristic of early 20th-century Monaco, a period marked by major urban development across the Principality.

Villa Claude also has a history connected to photography in Monaco. From 1927, a photographic studio operated within the building, first in the basement and later on the ground floor. This chapter adds another dimension to the property, which has accommodated different uses beyond its residential function over the decades.

Today part of the Carré d’Or, Villa Claude combines architectural heritage with the urban history of Monte-Carlo. Its position on Avenue Saint-Michel provides a central address while retaining the character of a building dating from the early 20th century.
