EDELWEISS
Monaco - 50 Boulevard du Jardin Exotique - 4 floors - 1913
At 50 Boulevard du Jardin Exotique, Edelweiss reflects Monaco’s early 20th-century architectural heritage. Built in 1913 by architect Henri Zanolli, the Belle Époque building has an unusual composition, rising across four upper floors above the ground floor and two mezzanine levels.
Its character is particularly evident in the treatment of the façade. Two entrances occupy the second bay, each framed by a cartouche displaying the name Edelweiss and the building number. Decorative oriels add depth to the upper levels, while the more restrained expression of the top floor reflects the changes the property has undergone over time.
Villa Edelweiss contains apartments with different layouts and dimensions. Monegasque public records document residences on the second, third and fourth floors, with balconies and cellars associated with some of the units. Given its elevated setting, certain apartments can also benefit from open outlooks towards Monaco and the coastline, depending on their position.
Through its architectural details, historic proportions and successive alterations, Edelweiss retains a distinctive identity within Monaco’s Jardin Exotique.En savoir plus
