The Park Palace reflects a significant chapter in the transformation of Monte-Carlo. Built on the site of an earlier Belle Époque building completed in 1915 and demolished in 1980, the present complex was designed in the early 1980s by architect Jean Notari. Completed in 1983, it comprises several buildings arranged around Impasse de la Fontaine, with heights ranging from 9 to 19 storeys.

This configuration gives the Park Palace a character quite different from that of a conventional residential tower. Around 243 to 245 apartments are distributed across the various buildings, while the complex also incorporates shops, offices, storage cellars and substantial underground parking facilities. A commercial gallery at the base of the development extends this mixed-use organisation into the heart of the Carré d’Or.
