SHANGRI-LA

Built around 1975 by Jean and José Notari, Shangri-La stands at 11 Boulevard Albert 1er, in the heart of La Condamine facing Port Hercule. Its architecture centres on a thirteen-storey residential volume set above a two-level base housing shops and offices. The complex extends towards Rue Princesse Caroline, forming an urban block connecting several of the neighbourhood’s streets.

This layout gives the apartments different relationships with the harbour and the city. Depending on their orientation, some feature terraces and views over Port Hercule, the Rock or the Grand Prix circuit. The residence also has a concierge and underground parking, while video surveillance systems are installed within the common areas.

Shangri-La therefore holds a distinctive place in La Condamine: a 1970s building directly integrated into a mixed-use urban block combining homes, businesses and shops, with Port Hercule as its main landmark.
