The Renzo, flagship vessel of the Mareterra project

31 July 2024 - 1 min

It is the biggest project to come out of the ground in the year to come. We have already told you about the future Mareterra neighborhood and its 6 hectares won over the sea thanks to the genius of the conceptors working in Monaco.

It is provoking an exciting real estate frenzy, particularly for the future neighborhood's flagship building, the Renzo.

It owes its name to one of the most famous architects in the Principality, Renzo Piano.

A remarkable building of almost 35,000 square meters and almost 50 residential units. Its shape evokes a fragmented ship, a form of homage to Renzo Piano, who designed several nautical structures during his long career.

Open and Integrated Buildings

All those who know Monaco real estate will tell you that most available apartments are often located in older buildings with limited space. The demand is so intense that they find buyers.

The Renzo is perfectly opposed to the past, with its modern approach with wide open spaces and a clean, maritime style that invites you to sail on the Mediterranean from a distance. This open concept is best described by the 84-year-old architect: “Our aim was to create a private building for the residents, while giving the public a sense of openness and accessibility to this new territory”.

The sea as horizon

Regardless of where you stand in the Renzo, the sea will be visible. This was an intimate wish for R. Piano. Monaco extends over the sea, the building will honor it in recognition. Artificial reefs have been created to preserve the Principality's marine life.

A building that is intended to be ecological, car-free but with greenery. But also a wink to the history of Monaco, once made up of fishermen and farmers, now a haven for the wealthy from all over the world.

Now, the Renzo will forever be the closest ship to the Rock.
