The Stella

The Stella, an emerging star in Monaco

27 September 2023 - 1 min

Wow! The Stella does not go unnoticed when you enter the Condamine area of Monaco. Massive yet refined and modern, the brand-new building designed in 2018 by architect Jean-Pierre Lott is intriguing. This spectacular project is structured around two areas, the lower of which is made up exclusively of glass roofs and is used for offices, shops and a school. Above, on 10 floors, you'll find apartments ranging from 2-room flats to spacious penthouses. The privacy of the residents is expertly protected by the huge architectural structure known as "the ribbon", which wraps the façade with its curves. Sublime, reminiscent of the aerodynamics of a Formula 1 car, the ribbon and its curvilinear curves give a sculptural aspect to the whole building.

An urban achievement

Sumptuous on the outside, the Stella is just as impressive on the inside. The first floors enjoy incredible luminosity thanks to the large Hubert Clerissi glass roof. It includes a green patio that offers lush protection to schoolchildren and university students studying in the building. The building also has several levels of underground parking and several elevators, including some with private access for residents. A concierge service and a range of high-quality services are also available. Other architectural specificities are the suspended bridges from which you can visit the Stella and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Principality from the sea to the rock.

A modernized historic neighborhood

The launch of the Stella has put the spotlight on the Condamine area. This urban project in a historic area of Monaco gives it a modern edge and a major hype among young people in town. The Stella, like the Simona (also designed by Lott), offers a range of small apartments that attract dynamic young people. Out of the 99 homes in the residence, the vast majority are rather small in terms of m2, but the optimized layout gives a welcoming impression of space.

As you will have understood, the Stella is one of the Principality's new attractions. A vibrant space where students, workers and residents mingle. And it all happens so much better in a splendid setting suited to modern mobility.
